Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County (HPCIC) is seeking palliative care physicians (M.D. or D.O.) to add to our growing medical services department.
A Full Time Physician (MD or DO) are needed to assist with the hospice and palliative care of patients with primary coverage in our inpatient unit. This position will perform both Hospice patient visits as well as Palliative Care consultations in homes and facilities under the direction of the Hospice Medical Director.
Competitive salary and benefit package available. Two years as a physician with experience in family practice ideal, experience in hospice and palliative care preferred. Sign on bonus available for the full time role and dependent on experience.
Preferred candidates will have prior experience working directly with patients and families facing chronic illness and end of life issues, including pain and symptom management background and hospice interdisciplinary team experience. The ideal candidate will also be Board Certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine and possess strong communication, leadership, and management skills.
